Why Do We Give?

As a church family we want to express our love and commitment to God and His people through generous giving.
It is a joy for us to sow into God’s Kingdom to see lives changed and restored. The Bible encourages us to give cheerfully and voluntarily, not because we are forced to but out of a place of gratitude to God.

In the Old Testament people gave according to the tithe. Under the New Covenant of grace we are empowered to go beyond the tithe and to be generous in our giving. At Forest Town Church we believe that giving is a choice to honour God and may involve sacrificing on other things at times to see God’s kingdom come. We give, trusting those God has appointed to be stewards of the Gospel in administering resources wisely in our church.

All the money that’s given is administered by our trustees and elders and is used to facilitate church ministry and outreach missions locally and abroad. All finances are annually reviewed by companies house and the charity’s commission.

Ways to Give

Forest Town Church Bank Details

Lloyds Bank, Account Name: Forest Town Church Trust, Sort Code: ’30-99-21′ and our Account Number: ‘02462848’

On a Sunday

During our meeting, we have a time when we take up an offering as part of our worship where people are invited to place their giving in baskets provided. There are envelopes available if you want to ear mark your giving for a specific purpose.

By Debit Order

Many people set up a standing order or a debit order for their giving. The benefits of this is that giving becomes a settled part of one’s monthly budget and it also helps the trustees in managing the cash flow for the church’s monthly outgoings.

Gift Aid

If you want Forest Town Church to be able to claim back tax on any gifts you make, you may complete the Gift Aid Declaration and hand it in at the FTC office or place it in the offering basket on a Sunday.
